Make your own one of a kind Messenger Bag from the worlds best upcycling material... industrial banners. Contrary to popular belief, with some clever pattern making, these banners can be stitched together on a household sewing machine. Save the hassle of sourcing, cleaning and cutting premium industrial banners with this custom designed bag kit.
Includes our favourite upcycling material (the banner), plus all the bips and bobs needed to create a sexy and durable mini messenger bag on a household sewing machine.
Each Kit now includes x3 45min scheduled group calls to walk through the process and ask individual questions. These calls run every 6 weeks. See details below for the next cohort.
Included in the Bag Kit:
- One of a Kind Upcycled Banner Material (cut to size)
- 50mm Webbing (for straps)
- 20mm Herringbone Bias Tape (for edge finishes)
- Into Carry Tags
- Bias Sewing Foot Attachment (suitable for household machines)
- Link to evergreen video instructions (which you have access to forever)

What You Need:
- Household sewing machine (nothing fancy, just to do straight stitch)
- Scissors
- 30cm Ruler or tape measure
LIVE CLASS TIMES
Live 45 min Workshops
These three 45 minute sessions are run once every 6 weeks. You can switch between different time slots each week. We have tried to cater for East & West USA, UK and Australian times. Please advise if you would prefer different times (we won't change this batch but it will inform future schedules).
Class One: Introduction to the class, overview of the bag assembly process, embellishment options and pre-assembly tasks. Plus time for questions.
Class Two: Questions from class one. Then instructions for full bag assembly process and more time for questions.
Class Three: Final set of assembly questions and student showcase to see all of your lovely finished bags!
