Would highly recommend this workshop! I had absolutely 0 sewing experience beforehand and came away with a lovely bike frame bag. Luke and Saskia were so patient and nice as they guided me through the process. Overall, really great experience !

Beautiful space and people. Luke is extremely patient and attentive, and will guide you from whatever sewing skill you have. Feels like being a kid again, just playing around and having some fun. Did an introductory course and left feeling i know my basics now to attempt at home.
the introductory sewing class was fun, made a couple of cute patches hehe, gave us some tea and snacks too
Luke was super lovely and even managed to teach my hopeless ass how to sew, even if I did make a few knots and made every possible error with the machine
Well, it’s an easy bag to do but i had difficulties to align correct my so u can see it’s unheaven. And also it’s bulky because the 2 fabrics didn’t stay flat together, other than that i’m gonna do more because i’ve collected lots of banner. Thank u Luke for the respond to my questions.

What a great Workshop! I went with my friend and we both found the experience , engaging fun and informative... in such a comfortable and welcoming environment from start to finish. Luke was once again fantastic throughout, very patient, knowledgeable, encouraging, with a great sense of humour. Which he needed with us :) Saskia also great when she joined us later. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to learn something new ,creative and fun.
My friend and I did the bag making classes and the program was fantastic! We were lucky enough to have a rotation of a few of the teachers which were Kate, Saskia and Luke! They were all so great! As someone who had barely any sewing practice beforehand I felt extremely comfortable asking for help and advice! The instructors would be walking around the room asking people if they needed help, so no one was left behind or anything like that! I would highly recommend Into Carry to those wanting to try something new, and I look forward to making more bags in the future! - Lachie
I went to the beginner's patch-matching class and it was awesome! Luke is a great teacher and the class was really fun and relaxed, and I left with a bunch of new skills (and patches!). Highly recommend for those who want a simple and fun intro to sewing but don't know where to get started. Thanks so much Luke!

Absolutely loved doing this class, Saskia was awesome to learn from, the class was very informative and interesting and I learnt how to make a bag! Highly recommend this to anyone interested in wanting to learn bag making and or wanting to learn skills in recycling

Really enjoyed this workshop. I'd already done the intro courses and the five week program, and this one still challenged me — but in a good way, I came away with plenty of new skills. The bag I made turned out better than I expected, genuinely spectacular. Luke is great at what he does — patient, encouraging, and good at giving just enough direction to make sure everyone gets their bag finished. Happy to recommend it. I made the Midi Messenger bag on the Left. Luke had already made the mlarger bag.
Loved this weekend. Having already done the custom bag course, I needed a reason to continue learning and making bags. I took up the opportunity to make messenger bags as I had already bought the kit but yet to start. Luke was patient and helpful especially with the instructions. I made these bags for my brothers but will return to unleash more creativity with my own bag in the near future.
Brilliant! This is such a great way to learn sewing if you a new to it, upcycling is an awesome way to help our environment and getting something you have made out of the class is so worth it, I enjoyed making my bag. Saskia was awesome! So knowledgeable and ready to assist everyone made the class fun, easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend this to everyone no matter what your skill level.
Super interesting and engaging. I already had some sewing experience, but learning to patch pieces together with top stitching was a new skill to me. Watching everything come together over the term was so cool, I was so excited for class every week. And of course a big thanks to Saskia for all the guidance and encouragement, she was a wonderful teacher.
Great idea, and the finished bag is sturdy, practical, attractive, and unique. The instructions are clear. Sewing the material is a bit different to sewing fabric, so there is a learning curve, but it's well worth it.
My daughter and her support worker loved the class and the bags they made!!!!

I recently completed the Custom Frame Bag (for bikes) workshop at Into Carry. I learnt so much from Luke and Saskia. They are very knowledgeable and extremely patient. I feel confident enough now to try my luck with other recycled material bags. I also completed a mini messenger kit bag at home. It's my favourite bag. You should definitely get one of those after you try an in-person workshop. Highly, highly recommend.

The Custom Bag Making Workshop was honestly one of the highlights of my year so far! Saskia and Brittany were the best facilitators you could ask for🙌🏼 Their passion and expertise in upcycling made the whole process super inspiring yet approachable. I had a blast with the Sunday arvo crew and walked away with an unique snazzy bag… I will be missing this and cannot wait to continue my upcycling journey.
